I want my MTV was a fun throwback to the a time where Music Television was seen as the future where it popularised the music video and pushed many an artist into the stratosphere.
The show held at Gallery 1988 was a celebration of music and everything around MTV and with this I decided to base my contribution on Max Headroom who was created as an artificial front man blasting onto tv sets around the world for a brief period in the 80s. The behind Max is interesting to me and how a team developed the character and all his quirks into something that looks futuristic while being grounded in the 80s.
This was a fun one to make since I could lean into a lot of 80s visuals and capture that retro vibe while having fun making a detailed but graphical look to Max.
